Taking a taxi

"안녕하세요. 51 Churchill 길 가주세요."

"Hello. I would like to go to 51 Churchill Avenue, please."

"네, 알겠습니다. 거기 병원 말씀하시는거죠?"

"Of course, madam. That is a hospital, isn't it?"

"네. 시어머니 뵈러 가요. 계단에서 넘어지셔서 엉치뼈를 다치셨거든요."

"Yes, it is. I am going to visit my mother-in-law. She fell down some stairs and broke her hip."

"안되셨네요. 시어머니 보러 가신다니 정말 좋으신 분이네요. 며느리들은 보통 시어머니 좋아하지 않잖아요."

"I am sorry to hear that. It is nice of you to go and see her. People usually don't like their mother-in-laws."

"네. 그래도 제 시어머니는 되게 좋으신 분이세요. 그래서 저도 시어머니를 좋아해요.

"That's true, but my mother-in-law is a very nice woman, and I like her very much."

"저희 시어머니도 그랬으면 좋겠어요. 제 시어머니는 저한테 항상 불친절해요."

"I wish my mother-in-law was like that. She is always very unpleasant to me."

"기분이 안 좋으시겠어요. 왜 시어머니가 아주머니를 싫어하실까요?"

"That's a shame. Why do you think she doesn't like you?"

"모르겠어요. 저는 항상 어머니께 친절한데. 아마 택시기사를 다 싫어하시나 보죠."

"I don't know. I am always nice to her. Maybe she just does not like taxi drivers."

"그럴 수도 있겠네요. 사람들 대부분 택시기사를 안 좋아하잖아요."

"That is possible. Many people dislike taxi drivers."

"네, 맞아요. 그런데 왜 그런지 이해가 안 가요."

"Yes, that is true. But I don't understand why."
